DANIEL — The 39th Aniel Daniel Chili Cook-off is right around the corner, planned for Saturday, Feb. 24 at the Daniel Community Center, 18 Schoolhouse Lane in Daniel. Sublette County residents are encouraged to break out their recipes, famous or not, and enter their best red and green chilis or desserts.

No pre-entry registration is required, check in your chili from 4-5 p.m. on Saturday and pay the $20 fee per crockpot. Judging takes place at 5 p.m., with prizes for first, second and third-place finishers in the red and green chili categories.

A free-will donation and a salad to share will get you a seat at the chili dinner, set to begin at 6 p.m. Auctioneer Dave Stephens will facilitate the live dessert auction that follows at 7 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to donate a dessert to the cause. Prizes will be awarded for the best-decorated dessert and the most money earned in the youth and adult divisions.

Proceeds from the annual fundraiser benefit the Daniel Community Center. This year’s sponsors are the Green River Bar, auctioneer Dave Stephens, Office Outlet and the Daniel Community Center.

From County Road 208, turn west just north of the Green River Bar. For more information call 307-360-8438 or 307-859-8602.
